Client Profile with Fiona Liston of Meadowsweet Flowers

Meadowsweet Flowers is a beautiful be-spoke flower company based in Croom, County
Limerick. Owned by the creative force Fiona Liston. Fiona is extremely passionate about
all elements of her business, from the large weddings she caters for, down to the tiniest
detail in her day to day run of business. It was a fun and enjoyable project to work on.
Personally, I love working with people who take pride in creating and understand how all
the elements of their business should fit together. I recently had the pleasure of
designing Fiona’s new website, including her brand identity. I wanted to write this piece
not only to showcase Fiona’s company Meadowsweet Flowers but to introduce her fun
and passion to my own network and if you are looking for flowers for a celebratory event
or occasion visit her website www.meadowsweetflowers.ie

A: Fiona Liston

Q: Occupation:
A: Florist/Flower farmer

Q: Fun fact about you:
A: I can’t think of any on the spot, but I do love a good laugh!

Q: What motivates you in the morning?
A: Gratitude! Sunshine and the prospects of spending the day faffing around with
flowers.

Q: What one thing do you never leave the house without?
A: Comfortable shoes.

Q: Any hidden or lesser-known talents?
A: I have many talents, including gardening, art, interior design skills, singing and drama,
horse riding, golf, etc but my greatest talent is in recognizing those talents, embracing
lifelong learning and the challenges that it brings so that life never becomes dull or
boring and always remains exciting. Also, accomplishment fills me with a sense of
satisfaction and pride that further motivates me.

Q: As a child what did you want to be growing up?
A: A vet or veterinary nurse taking care of animals. They say there are many routes to
get where you want to be. Marrying a farmer was mine. I also wanted to be a mother.
The farmer made that happen too! I don’t have many memories of when I was young but
I do remember at about the age of 10 years old digging a very neglected and overgrown
backyard garden with a dream of having a beautiful garden space filled with flowers.
That dream was realized 40 years later.
